A grab lorry on average can carry 2 times as much material as a standard skip, if you had 12 tonnes of material you woud need at least 2 skips but you would only need 1 grab lorry……!
Grab lorries do not require permits unlike skips left on roads as the grab lorry can pull up along side the material to be grabbed it is then loaded usually taking only 15-20 mins to load and if any disruption occurs it is normally short-lived

3.0m width
9.0m length
4.0m height to the top of the exhaust
6.2m height (as the crane needs to go to this height to load front of lorry)
Please ensure there are no overhead cables or overhanging branches up to 6.2m & atleast 4m from the lorry side
The driver must be able to see the material to be loaded
the material must be placed no more than 6m from the road or hardstanding area to enable the grab lorry to reach the material
